There are many reasons why the pump motor is burnt out, but the incorrect use of the pump is one of the important reasons.
When using the pump, carefully observe the operation of the pump. The effluent should be continuous and uniform, and the pump has no vibration and noise. If the pump suddenly stops during operation, the power should be disconnected immediately to check the cause. The interval between the two start-up times of the pump should be based on the all return of the water in the pump. If the pump is started too early, the motor will burn out due to excessive resistance and water hammer in the water pipe. If the pump is installed in the well, it should be noted that the pump should meet the normal water output of the well, otherwise it will cause the empty machine to run and burn the motor.
In order to ensure the normal operation of the pump, the following checks should be performed on the pump before use.
1. Check if the pump motor winding is open circuit with a universal meter. The insulation can be used for 500 volt megohmmeter measurements. When the insulation resistance is less than 0.5 megohm, the pump cannot be used.
2. Remove the filter and rotate the pump shaft for flexibility. If it is not flexible, it should be adjusted before use.
3. Whether the gate fuse capacity selection is appropriate,no other wires can be used instead of the fuse.
4. Turn on the power and check if the impeller is running normally (the power-on time must not exceed 3 to 5 seconds, otherwise the motor will burn out easily).
