DIFFUL Impeller Aerator: The Mature Core Principle for Smoother Water "Breathing"
In aquaculture and water management, high-efficiency aeration equipment is key to protecting the aquatic ecosystem and increasing farming profits. Many farmers and industry professionals are curious: How exactly does this equipment work? What is its core operating principle? As a professional solar pump manufacturer, DIFFUL is here to reveal the answer.
I. Floating Structure: Laying a Solid Foundation for Stable Operation
In terms of design, the DIFFUL impeller aerator consists of a central motor, a reduction gearbox, an impeller, and three floating balls. The whole unit is connected by brackets and can float stably on the water surface.The three evenly distributed floating balls ensure perfect balance on the water, while allowing the lower half of the impeller to submerge naturally, creating ideal conditions for the aeration process.
II. Mechanical Drive: Setting the Water in Motion
Once powered on, the waterproof motor delivers stable power through the reduction gearbox, driving the impeller below to rotate at high speed.The impeller blades submerged in water generate strong centrifugal force:
· It sucks up oxygen-poor water from the bottom of the pond;
· It quickly pushes the water outward in all directions.This creates a dual vertical and horizontal water circulation, breaking up stagnant water stratification.

III. Core Aeration Mechanism: Dissolving Oxygen Efficiently into Water
During high-speed rotation, the core aeration process takes place simultaneously:
1. Splashing Aeration
The impeller agitates the water surface, creating a large number of splashes and water curtains, greatly expanding the contact area between water and air, allowing oxygen in the air to dissolve into the water more rapidly.
2. Negative Pressure Air Intake
As the impeller rotates, a negative pressure zone forms behind it, actively drawing air into the water. The blades then break the air into tiny bubbles, delivering oxygen deep into the water body and avoiding the limitations of surface-only aeration.
3. Water Quality Improvement
Continuous exchange between upper and lower water layers eliminates temperature and oxygen stratification. It also releases harmful gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide accumulated at the pond bottom, effectively improving overall water quality.
